Summary

 This course has been designed to give the initial tools to manage your content management system. This course covers, first an introduction to content management systems softwares, then overview the initial element of a CMS. Second, it covers the management of users, looking at the different group and access levels already set for you. Third, it covers the front-end functions, i.e. how to manage your content from the front-end. Fourth, we look at accessing the back-end and then manage your CMS at a manager level.

Entry

 As this course is a level 1, there are no requirements to take this course.

Qualifications

This course is compulsory in the following qualifications: 

•     SYTEK Development CMS Qualification (not accredited) 

The SYTEK Development CMS qualification has been designed to set a standard of website/web application management. This qualification is not accredited by any awarding body. 

Teaching and assessment

Teaching

The teaching environment is at SYTEK business address. We run our courses in a classroom, with projectors and white boards for demonstration. This course is mostly hands-on practice, with light theory at the beginning for a better understanding of the framework. We are also able to do on-site teaching, but travel costs will be added at the following rate: £ 0.40/per mile.

Assessment

At the moment there are no assessment for this course. We are working on online exams.
